Judge Grants Temporary Restraining Order for ORNL Employees

In a temporary victory for employees of ORNL, 6th District Federal Judge Atchley has granted a temporary restraining order to stop ORNL from putting any employee on unpaid leave that has an approved exemption (religious and/or medical).

The order comes after employees from ORNL filed a lawsuit to stop the administration from putting them off on unpaid leave after being granted an exemption from vaccination mandates. Prior to the order the employees were scheduled to begin unpaid leave on October 16th.

The order will last for two weeks to allow legal counsel time to present their evidence in the manner. Employees that were granted an exemption will remain paid employees throughout that time.
