TN Doctors Could Lose License For COVID “Misinformation”
In a new policy adopted by the Tennessee Board of Medical Examiners, Tennessee doctors could face disciplinary action or even lose their license if they spread “misinformation” about COVID. The Board is made up of 12 members appointed by the Governor and are responsible for taking discipline action any time a physician violate practice standards. The new policy was adopted on September 21.
“Spreading inaccurate COVID-19 vaccine information contradicts that responsibility threatens to further erode public trust in the medical profession and puts all patients at risk,” the policy states.
The elephant in the room is what is the standard at which something is considered misinformation? Is it because the CDC makes a recommendation? What about when experts and scientists disagree? There are so many questions yet to be answered. While fighting a worldwide pandemic it is definitely not a time to be looking at ways to fire doctors.
