The Smokies One Step Closer to the Old City

The city of Knoxville along with Knox county are exploring the possibility of a multi-use entertainment building to be built in the Old City of downtown Knoxville. This new construction would be a publicly owned and a multi-use sports and entertainment stadium. Knoxville council on their website believe “the total cost of the stadium, including land value and depending on amenities and design specifics, is estimated between $75 million and $90.5 million.” This will be a boost for downtown Knoxville and surrounding areas.
