Rugby October 2nd first local event of the month

Join the Rugby community as they celebrate Founder’s Day and Michaelmas Festival this Saturday, October 2nd. Rugby has many events going on this month and one popular event hosted each year is the Ghostly Gatherings. If your not afraid of the dark mark you calendars for the last weekend in October. Frozen Head: October 9th

Last year had proven to be a challenge for many of our long standing festivals in Morgan County. Frozen Head will host the 40th Heritage Day Festival on October 9th. This has bee a family favorite for many years. Live music, crafters and crafts of traditional Appalachian and Cumberland Plateau culture found in and around Frozen Head. This free event will feature day long LIVE Bluegrass Music! LIVE Music Featuring: Gerald Hanwright, Tim & Jodi Harbin, Mt. Leconte Jug Band, The Tenos. Demonstrations will include Blacksmithing, wood turning, cider press, and more! Food vendors in attendance will be the Cattleman’s Association Ribeye sandwiches, Shirley’s Boys homemade chicken and dumplings, and homemade fried donuts! Make sure to bring the kids out.

Morgan County Fairgrounds: October 8th and 9th

Morgan County Fairgrounds will be hosting a fall mud sling and a demolition derby on October 8th and 9th. This very popular event during the summer is coming to you now in the fall.

Inaugural Spirit of the Mountain POWPOW begins October 29th

End your October festivities with the Spirit of the Mountain Powwow on the 29th through the 31st. This event is organized and presented by the Morgan County Chamber of Commerce. First Ever inter tribal Native American Pow Wow in Wartburg, Tn. This inaugural event: Spirit of The Mountain POW WOW ~ Native American Festival happening at the Solomon Park in Wartburg, Morgan County, Tennessee!

Partners In Education Fall Festival

Central Elementary school in Wartburg will be hosting their annual Fall Festival on October 5th from 5:00 pm to 7:00 ppm. There will be food, live music, foam pit, hayrides, and a car show by Mountain Shadow Cruisers.

October Sky Festival: October 17th

The October Sky Festival will be held on Saturday, October 17th from 10:00 am to 4:00 pm. An added addition to this year’s festival is a “kid zone” that will have a bounce houses, a blow up slide are a couple of the fun things the children can enjoy. This event is held at the Arrowhead park In Oliver Springs, TN. Many vendors, a cruise-car show, live music, food, and games, and so much more.

The Great Allardt Pumpkin Festival

Happens the First Saturday of October each year. This year the Allardt Pumpkin Festival is celebrating 30 years. The festival opens up at 10:00 am at the Allardt City Hall. This festival will host a Pumpkin Festival parade at 3:00 pm, pumpkin contest, and pumpkin and roll contest. Music all day, tractor show, motorcycle show, and children’s costume contest and so much more!

Medieval Faire Harriman, TN

Harriman’s Medieval Faire has been going strong for five years. Open every weekend in the month of October you can get a feel of medieval living, games, crafts, and food. Open 11:00 am to 6:00 pm.
