Morgan County Sheriff’s Office: L.E.A.D. in School
According to the Morgan County Sheriff’s Department, School Resource Officers Ambie Pemberton and Sarah Moore have kicked off the L.E.A.D. Program for Morgan County Schools. Law Enforcement Against Drugs & Violence and the Morgan County Sheriff’s Office is dedicated to protecting our youth and communities from drugs, drug related crimes, peer to peer/ cyber bullying, and violence. Sarah and Ambie are currently teaching the 10-week course in kindergarten and fifth grades, with hopes of adding other grades in the future. They will reach every Morgan County school by the end of 2021-2022 school year.
