NASCAR Honors Memorial Day

Charlotte Motor Speedway was Americana all weekend long as they honored those who have given the ultimate sacrifice for our freedoms here in the United States of America. NASCAR continued it’s tradition during the Coca Cola 600.

Not all sports are created equal but one thing is for sure, when you go to a race at Charlotte you will see great Americans enjoying the great American sport.

We were able to get coverage of the truck race on Friday night. The “Watermelon Man” Ross Chastain pulled off the victory. You can see the full results here.

During the Cup series Coca Cola 600 the drivers honored a fallen service member as they did the ride along again this year. Each driver has the name of the fallen on their windshield.

It was Joe Gibbs racing that dominated the day and ultimately Denny Hamlin won his first Coca Cola 600 at Charlotte Motor Speedway.
