The search was long and sometimes winding but it appears that Wartburg Central High School has found a new Head Football Coach.
The Coach will be announced sometime next week possibly on Tuesday according to sources. He has already started making his way through the community and will be a spark that is much needed to a football program that has had a rough spell of seasons.
Principal Aaron Jones and Athletic Director Jason Davis have worked hard to find the right fit for the program. There was never any doubt that these gentleman had the best interest of the kids at the forefront of their decision making. It has been tough and there have been some noise but they got through all of it to find what will be the next chapter in winning football for Wartburg Central High School.
Inside Morgan County is a rivalry that is like no other between our four high school football teams. On any given Friday night when these teams meet any team may come out on top. It is exciting to see so much interest in the position for Wartburg.
