LEADERSHIP MORGAN TO BEGIN IN OCTOBER

Wartburg, TN – Roane State Community College Morgan County has partnered with the Morgan County Chamber of Commerce to return Leadership Morgan to the county. Leadership Morgan seeks to develop leaders who will have a positive impact on the growth and development of Morgan County.
“Roane State has been interested in bringing a leadership program back to Morgan County for some time. We are thrilled to partner with the Chamber to make this happen,” said Michelle Adkisson, site director for RSCC Morgan County Campus. Adkisson states that the program first began in 2001 under the direction of Kelly Amonett and continued with the creation of the Chamber under Director Schooler. Morgan County Chamber of Commerce Director Bridget DeFee is excited to assist in heading up Leadership Morgan and looks forward to working to make Leadership a great success.

Morgan County has seen several candidates graduate from Leadership Morgan since its inception. Leadership Morgan is a great training opportunity for those who are selected to participate. It is a wonderful steppingstone to becoming a future leader in whatever field a candidate may choose. “The opportunity to see Leadership Morgan jump started at this juncture is invaluable to Morgan County. We are poised for economic growth in the near future, and we will need even more civic, business, non-profit, and educational leaders in Morgan County. I encourage everyone to consider applying for this fantastic opportunity.”
Everyone is welcome and encouraged to apply. Applications must be submitted by October 1, 2021. There is a cost associated with the course, which covers transportation, materials, food, onsite visits to area businesses, government buildings, and a trip to Nashville in the spring. Leadership training will take place one day per month from October 2021 through May 2022 with a graduation ceremony in May 2022.
