Biden to Push for $15 Federal Minimum Wage Hike in COVID Relief Package

In the proposal for the $1.9 trillion COVID relief, Joe Biden calls for $1400 stimulus checks, federal funds to state and local governments to avoid first responder layoffs, addition money for combating the virus, and money to expand testing among other things.

Some experts have said the $15 minimum wage would have a negative impact on already struggling small businesses. The plan to raise the minimum wage has been embraced and pushed by some of the loudest voices on the left.
